As part of the Yoga Alliance Social Credentialing system, teachers that register with Yoga Alliance must submit a review of the RYS training program they completed.

Feedback from trainees provides Registered Yoga Schools with the opportunity to understand their trainees’ experiences in order to continually improve their trainings.

By choosing to display comments, schools enable trainees to provide insight into a school’s culture and training which helps potential trainees choose the right teacher training for their individual path with yoga.

  Sama came into my life unexpectedly, and the practice I experienced there transformed me and the way I thought about myself and the world around me. Rebekah is an inspiration, mentor, and light in this world. Her knowledge, care and professionalism create one of the most wholistic and nurturing educational environments I have ever bore witness to. The program is thorough, individualized, and touches upon all fundamental and experiental concepts that go into guiding and facilitating a yoga practice.

The teachers provide a well-rounded overview, covering everything from asanas to yoga philosophy, while also offering personal mentorship and engaging discussions. The program includes opportunities for take-home readings and self-practice, complemented by in-studio discussions, peer connections, and co-teaching experiences. Enrolling in the program gives you access to a comprehensive handbook, unlimited classes at Sama, and an online library of additional content, including text and videos.   Angie and Rebekah of Sama Yoga Academy were extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and wise in their teaching of yoga. They blended centuries of tradition and presented it to the modern psyche in a way which was accessible to all. I'm so grateful I got to study under them, and look forward to continuing to learn from them in the future.

  After the first class I was completely drawn into the Yoga philosophy however I was beyond nervous about the teaching aspect. What had I gotten myself into?? By the last class Rebekah, Angie and my fellow students had helped me find courage and confidence I did not know I had. Everything we need can be found within. I could not recommend this course more. Rebekah & Angie are amazing souls! Namaste

  Sama Yoga Academy is a wonderful yoga school. The instructors are so supportive and knowledgeable, they make sure that the student is provided with everything they need to become an instructor. I was so happy with my education that I got 2 other certifications from their school. Even after I completed my training, my instructors still are there to support me, they go above and beyond for their students and practitioners.

  The 200 Hr Yoga teacher Training Program was thorough and comprehensive. The instructors were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire learning process. I found the hard copy manual extremely useful and informative, as well as the other suggested reading materials which I will cherish and fully utilize. The program was thoughtfully developed.
