About Valerie Rogers

Valerie Rogers is the creator of Chogaflow®, a unique, rejuvenating ‘chair-yoga-flow’ practice done both seated and standing, linking breath with movement. Ideal if you are new to practicing yoga, have physical limitations, or if you prefer a less strenuous flow class.

Chogaflow® emphasizes alignment, allowing you to explore poses in a safe, anatomically correct way. We use the chair as an effective prop, which allows the student to explore more stability and accessibility in challenging poses. You will enjoy the many benefits of a traditional yoga practice without ever having your knees touch the floor!   

Valerie’s passion for teaching derives from the profound transformation of her own personal life through the practice of yoga. She has a unique, fun, eclectic teaching style which blossoms from years of studying various styles of yoga.


Teaches Chogaflow Teacher Training-15 CE hours: 

Training includes:

-new creative ways to adapt seated and standing poses to the chair

-how to structure & sequence a class to create a harmonious flow

-correct postural alignment in seated and standing poses 

-detailed anatomical cueing that can help ensure a safe practice

-common conditions, injuries & physical issues that may arise after age 50 

-adapting poses to the student's needs and abilities

Those on the verge of retirement make up the country's fastest-growing group of people. Chogaflow practice is key to maintaining an active, healthy, independent lifestyle for the aging population. 

Teaches Postural Alignment Workshops:

Starting from the ground up you will learn how to anatomically align the body to establish correct posture for sitting, standing, and walking. 

Correct alignment helps:

-reduce back and neck pain

-relieve joint and muscle pain

-reduce inflammation

-correct foot problems

-increase energy

Proper alignment creates more space and allows the breath to become fuller. With more space, the organs and neurological system begin to function properly. Stop sliding down the slippery slope of misuse and begin the journey of change. When we use the body the way it is designed to be used we start functioning better and feeling better. The focus of this workshop is learning how to align the body to achieve optimal health.
