Hello! I’m Lebo Goad (she/her), and I'm a down to earth yoga teacher and advocate from South Africa, based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
I’ve been fortunate to study with inspiring teachers from all over the world, and participated in the Yoga Alliance Teaching for Equity cohort, where I engaged deeply with issues of inclusion and equity. My wellness perspectives in my teaching are informed by my certifications in various yoga methodologies, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and years of experience shaped by my commitment to serving underrepresented communities and working with different bodies.
In addition to facilitating Yoga Teacher Trainings, I teach to incarcerated individuals at the Utah Department of Corrections, refugees, military veterans, and women with a lived experience of domestic violence.
My advocacy work includes collaborations with organizations like the Black Physicians of Utah, the Lesego Tau Education Foundation in South Africa, Continuum Mind & Body Collaborative, lululemon, and Prenatal International, among others. I believe in the power of breath and movement to navigate trauma and stress, creating a safe space for all my students.
Participants in my trainings can expect a warm, inclusive atmosphere where yoga practices are integrated with science based evidence, resources, diverse experiences and compassionate support. If you're looking for a yoga experience rooted in community, compassion, and growth, I’d love to connect with you! Ubuntu Makwande!
