The class showed me that every asana begins with the feet. Let’s not forget that. By correcting aligning the feet the asanas have much greater intention and benefit. Bravo Amanda !

About Amanda Lamprecht

Amanda Lamprecht is the owner and lead teacher of the International School of Yoga Studies, a Yoga Alliance-registered 200-hour yoga school dedicated to honoring the sacred traditions of the Krishnamacharya lineage. Amanda’s expertise spans a wide range of yoga disciplines, from the precision of alignment-based Iyengar-inspired yoga to the dynamic flow of Ashtanga Yoga, which she studied in Mysore, India. With over two decades of teaching experience, she is an E-RYT 500 Master Yoga Teacher, Certified Yoga Therapist, and Continuing Education Provider with Yoga Alliance.

Amanda’s teachings are deeply rooted in Raja Yoga, meditation, mindfulness, sound healing, astral anatomy, yoga philosophy, and asana practice. She holds certifications as a meditation teacher, Reiki Master, and Licensed Acutonics® Teacher, weaving the vibrational power of sound bowls and tuning forks into her holistic approach to yoga and healing.

Having lived in the United States for 18 years, Amanda teaches and leads trainings in Seattle, WA, and Joshua Tree, CA, while maintaining her strong connection to her hometown of Port Elizabeth. Her classes and workshops explore the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern practice, offering a transformative experience for students of all levels.

At the International School of Yoga Studies, Amanda’s mission is to empower teachers and students to embody the transformative power of yoga with authenticity and joy. Her programs invite students to:
