Sheryl Duncan is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher trainings with a Registered Yoga Schools (RYS).
I began my fitness journey playing sports. It then evolved into teaching aerobics in the 80s and weight training in the 90s. I was introduced to vinyasa yoga in 2000 and fell in love. My home studio was heated with classes 75 minutes to 2 hours. It was a hard core work out and that's what I needed initially. Over the years my practice has evolved into more of therapeutic yoga personally.
Age, experiences and injuries made me a much better teacher. I love to teach all ages and all levels. You have to "feel to heal" and I understand that as a part of my daily life now. Whether I am teaching Power Hot Vinyasas or a Gentle Yoga it all brings the yogi to a calming state that can benefit their mind and body. Watching others on the Yoga journey is very fulfilling. We are always growing in our practice, understand that, enjoy it and be safe and kind to yourself.
I received my first 200 RYT teacher training in 2009, a second 200 hour RYT with Yoga Alliance in 2018 followed by RYT 500 in 2024.
