Alyssa Bokovoy embarked on her yoga journey in 2014, a passion that blossomed into a career as a certified yoga instructor in 2016. Her unwavering dedication to learning is reflected in her extensive training:
• 2016: Core Power Yoga 200-hour (Honolulu)
• 2017: Salt Lake Power Yoga 200-hour
• 2017: Vikasa Yoga School 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT)
• 2018: Universal Yoga 300-hour
• 2019: Ashtanga Series 2 Workshop with Sharath Jois (New York)
• 2020: Universal Yoga 100-hour Tantric Tibetan Internal Practice
• 2022: Training with Gokulacandra in Miami
• 2023: Became the Aerial Yoga Lead at Brick Canvas, where she continues to teach
• 2024: Rewrote her own rendition of the Laozi Bamboo Scrolls and began integrating Chinese philosophy into her yoga style
• 2024: Monthly training with her teacher, Joan Halifax, via Zoom
Alyssa’s commitment to her practice culminated in her attainment of E-RYT 500 certification through Yoga Alliance, signifying over 6,220 hours of teaching experience. Her passion for yoga resonates deeply in her teaching approach.
From 2019 to 2021, Alyssa served as the head of the Yoga Department at Snowbird. She introduced and taught Cross Mat classes at The Front from 2021 to 2023 and has been sharing her expertise at her own yoga school since 2019, with no plans of slowing down. Now she is the Aerial Yoga lead for Brick Canvas currently managing and educating the teachers under her.
Currently, Alyssa is focused on creating her first 200 YTT where she will skillfully integrates yogic philosophy, physical asana, and monastic techniques. Her teaching style represents a harmonious blend of various yoga systems, rooted in traditional Hatha Yoga principles. She warmly welcomes all who are eager to explore their full potential through yoga.
Alyssa’s current guru is the Dao, and she has trained under esteemed instructors such as Gokulacandra, Andrey Lappa, Will Lao, Simon Low, Kosta Miachin, Sammy Brown, and S. Jois.
