Rob regularly performs as a principal player with Portland Baroque Orchestra, Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra, Corona del Mar Baroque Festival, the jazz trio-RLA, activist and psycedelicfolksongstress-Joanne Rand, bhaktin-Sitaram Das, kirtan and sound healer-Shemaia Skywater/Skywater Band.
A featured artist on the recently released CD’s, Roses in the Snow and Drought (Dec/2016) and, Southern Girl, by Joanne Rand, and as soloist on the complete set of Violin Concertos by J. S. Bach for One, Two and Three violins, with the Portland Baroque Orchestra, directed by Monica Huggett, Rob is also featured as Viola soloist in the 2013 film, Giacomo Variations (AmourFou, Vienna-Luxembourg) starring John Malkovich, Veronica Ferres, and Fanny Ardent.
Last November, Rob, completed his 500hr - level 2 certification in the study and practice of Yoga science and philosophy as guided by his teacher, Swami Veda Bharati’ of the Himalayan Yoga Tradition in Rishikesh, India. Rob teaches Yoga science and philosophy in the Himalayan Yoga Tradition, including Nada Yoga.
Currently, Rob maintains his own Youtube Channel - Rob Diggins, with regular uploads of his current instructional videos.
In addition to his work as Principal Violist on the international tours of The Divine Comedy: True Confessions of a Serial Killer, and Giacomo Variations, starring John Malkovich with Musica Angelica, and the Wiener Akademie, under the direction of Martin Hasselbock, Rob also participated in the premier of the Post-Modern opera, Fallen Angels, National Theatre Luxembourg.
While living in The Hague, Netherlands, Rob completed the Artist Diploma program in Baroque Violin and Authentic Performance Practices, at the KoninKlijk Conservatorium, Den Haag (The Royal Conservatory of The Hague) and regularly performed, toured and recorded with: Collegium Vocale, Ghent, and, La Chappelle Royale, directed by Phillippe Herreweghe, Musica Ad Rhenum, directed by Jed Wentz, Cantus Köln, directed by Conrad Junghanel, Stuttgart Kamerkoor, directed by Frieda Bernius, Concerto Armonico Budapest, Les Arts Florrisant directed by William Christie, Ensemble Ricercar, directed by Phillippe Pierlot, and the Gabrieli Consort, directed by Paul McCreesh, as well as with many others.
Through the years, Rob has performed, toured, and recorded as a Principal player with: Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, San Francisco, directed by Nicholas McGegan, American Baroque Soloists, directed by Jeffrey Thomas, Magnificat, directed by Warren Stewart, San Francisco Bach Choir, California Bach Society, Trinity Consort, directed by Eric Milnes, and was a founding member of Lux Musica, Santa Cruz, with Dr. Linda Berman-Hall.
