Swami Vishnudevananda synthesised the essence of yoga into five principles that could be easily incorporated into daily life. These comprise the core teachings of the four paths of classical yoga and make the wisdom of the ancient sages easily accessible to beginner and experienced alike.

The Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training Course in Ustka was a profound spiritual awakening for me. I came seeking knowledge, but what I found was something far deeper – a connection with my true self, with nature, with stillness, and with the universal flow of life. Each day began in sacred silence – with meditation at sunrise, mantra chanting, and yoga practice by the sea. There was something holy in the rhythm of it all. The teachers led us from the heart – with wisdom, kindness, and deep reverence for the yogic tradition. Through their guidance, I realized that yoga is not just a practice on the mat – it is a path of love, service, and inner liberation. Ustka, with its peaceful energy, wide open skies, and fresh sea air, became a kind of temple for me. There were moments when I felt a stillness so deep it moved me to tears. The evening satsangs, the warmth of the community, the candlelight, the vibration of Om – it all touched my soul in a way that is hard to describe in words. I returned home transformed – more grounded, more present, and with a sense of joy that no longer depends on the outside world.
