About Hersha Chellaram (Hersha Yoga)

Hersha Harilela Chellaram (Hersha Yoga) is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP®), and is recognised as an expert in one or more of Yoga Alliance's Educational Categories. 

Hersha Chellaram is an award-winning yoga educator, yoga therapist and teacher trainer offering Integral Yoga, Accessible Yoga, and Yoga for the Special Child, for all ages and abilities. She is founder of YAMA Foundation, a charity that makes yoga, art, and meditation accessible to Hong Kong’s most vulnerable communities. She is featured on the Emmy-nominated Children's Show Oddbods Busy Bodies

 

Hersha advocates for disability rights, equality and equity in wellbeing spaces, and has developed special trainings, programmes and presentations in Hong Kong and internationally, specialising in empowerment and inclusion. Honours and awards include: Hong Kong’s 100 Women of Wellness: Change Maker 2021, 20 Yoga Teachers of Colour to Watch in 2020, and the 2014 Women of Hope Award: Children’s Advocate. Financial Assistance

Scholarships

Scholarships for online trainings -- students in need of financial assistance can apply for an online scholarship or discount by emailing me and explaining their financial situation. From here, we can offer a reasonable exchange. This is determined on a case-by-case basis. In-person trainings. Hersha Yoga partners with local Hong Kong charity YAMA Foundation to offer scholarships to people in need. These scholarships are only open to Hong Kong participants who have completed a scholarship application form.
