Scott Murphy (ERYT500, YACEP) brings 19 years of experience as an American Heart Association employee and more than 28 years of yoga practice and teaching CPR and First Aid. He hopes to see more yoga teachers like himself prepared to handle an emergency cardiovascular situation, for which 80% of events happen outside the hospital setting.
The purpose of his CPR and First Aid courses is to understand the cardiovascular system, the difference between a heart attack and cardiac arrest, as well as what to do should you have a cardiac-related event in your class.
