About Prasad Rangnekar

Prasad Rangnekar is from Mumbai, India. Born in a traditionally Yogic family, Prasad was introduced to Yoga at the age of 9 and has been practicing for over 30 years and teaching since last 22 years in over 15 countries.

He teaches in the traditional Hatha Yoga orientation which views yoga as a tool of self-transformation to make life more efficient, peaceful and happy. Prasad's teachings go beyond looking at Yoga as mere posture practice (Asana). His teachings inspire the students to look at Yoga as a process of transforming their body, mind, lifestyle, relationships and brings them to a lasting state of inner peace. For this, Prasad uses the philosophy and practices of Yoga that stem from sources like Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, Bhakti path and Hatha practices.

Prasad regularly gets invited to speak around the world at prestigious institutions like the European Commission, various Yoga Festivals and corporate and social organisations. Through his school, Yogaprasad Institute, he conducts Yoga retreats, seminars, workshops and Yoga teacher training courses to inspire those who seek to live a purposeful life. He conducts 200 and 300 Hours YTTs and leads workshops on topics like 5 Elements based Anatomy + Bio-mechanics study, Meditation, Pranayama and retreats based on topics like Bhagavad Gita, Bhakti Sutra, Upanishad, Hatha science, History and Philosophy of Yoga, Conscious parenting through Yoga, Women Yogis of India and Silence retreats.
