Dr. Christopher Miller is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider with over 3,000 hours of teaching experience both inside and outside the university classroom. He received his PhD from the University of California, Davis, where his research focused on yoga texts, translation, and modern yoga practice. He is the author of a number of peer-reviewed articles and book chapters about yoga philosophy, history, and contemporary practice and shares his passion for yoga theory and practice in teacher trainings, workshops, and other continuing education platforms. Dr. Miller completed a 2 year teacher training in 2012-2013 and has traveled and practiced extensively in yoga communities in both India and in other transnational sites of practice since then. He is the author of Embodying Transnational Yoga: Eating, Singing, and Breathing in Transformation (Routledge 2024).
