About Eric:
My Yoga Nidra roots are in Canada where I grew up. There, I studied with my first teacher Xenia Spawlinksi from 2008-2011. I relocated to Germany in 2010 to teach Yoga. I spent some years studying Yoga Nidra with Jennifer Reis from the Kripalu Institute in America where I further deepened my understanding of Yoga Nidra and yoga philosophies. During this time, I began offering Yoga Nidra guided meditations in yoga classes and workshops in Hamburg. A couple of years later I was invited to teach Yoga Nidra workshops throughout Germany and in Canada. Through these experiences I developed a Yoga Nidra Teacher Training program that has continuously grown and transformed since 2012.
Today, I study with Peter Marchand (Tantric Nepalese Healing & Meditation from Belgium) who has been my spiritual teacher since 2018. With Yoga Nidra utilizing many Tantric practices, the teachings and practices I gain from Peter deepen my Yoga Nidra and seated Ashtanga Yoga (Patanjali) meditation practices.
It is my deep desire to share these experiences with you and anyone else interested in ‘reconnecting’ and understanding the ‘users manual’ that makes YOU by utilizing the gift of Yoga Nidra.
Regardless of your meditation experience, all are welcome to attend my classes, workshops or teacher trainings. It is about sharing the potential of Yoga Nidra and making it accessible, whether you want to deepen your own meditation practice or guiding others in Yoga Nidra.
I feel that Yoga Nidra is a very beneficial tool in today’s fast-paced and complicated world. You only need to simply lie down and listen to the Yoga Nidra guide without trying. Tensions will release, awareness will deepen, old internal programming will rewire itself and perhaps you’ll reconnect to your true nature in a state of complete non-doing. In other words, it’s time well spent on yourself to just ‘be.’
