About Charlotte Bell

Charlotte Bell began practicing yoga in 1982 and has been teaching since 1986. She teaches yoga and meditation classes and workshops all over the Intermountain West. Her classes focus on uncovering the silent mind in the midst of physical practice. In 2013, she founded Mindful Yoga Collective with a group of Salt Lake City’s most experienced yoga and meditation teachers. 

Charlotte writes a monthly column for Catalyst Magazine, and edits blogs for Yoga U Online and Hugger Mugger Yoga Products. She is the author of two books: Mindful Yoga, Mindful Life and Yoga for Meditators, both published by Rodmell Press. Her new book, Hip-Healthy Asana, will be published by Shambhala Publications in June 2018. Her writing has appeared in Yoga Journal, Yoga International, YogaDork, elephant journal and Yoga U Online. 

A lifelong musician, she plays oboe and English horn in the Salt Lake Symphony and Red Rock Rondo, whose music special won two Emmy awards.
