Amy Cardenas graduated from the Blue Lotus Yoga Studio in Raleigh, NC, with her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification. She is a RYT 200 through the Yoga Alliance. Amy teaches styles such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Chair, and Restorative Yoga to students with a variety of fitness levels, interests, health conditions, abilities and needs.
Amy has taken workshops and webinars on Yoga for Osteoporosis, Yoga for Depression, Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. Amy has completed trainings in Restorative Yoga as well as the Therapeutic elements of Yoga for individuals living with chronic illnesses. She was a scholarship recipient to the First Annual Accessible Yoga Conference. Amy serves as an Accessible Yoga Ambassador to further expand access to yoga to people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and seniors.
Amy enjoys teaching because it allows her to share her love for yoga with students. Connecting movement, breath and mindfulness in each class, Amy imparts the benefits of practicing yoga to all her students. She is passionate about teaching yoga to those living with chronic health conditions. Amy believes everyone can practice yoga.
