Dr. Sarah Cavrak is an accomplished scientist, experienced yoga and meditation instructor, powerful healer, and perhaps the most enthusiastic student you’ll ever meet.
Sarah has spent the last 24 years studying human cognition, behavior, and spirituality through both psychological and yogic lenses. She earned her PhD in Cognitive Sciences from Georgia State University in 2013, and in the same year she also completed her initial 200-hour YTT. After several years of teaching yoga throughout the US and abroad, Sarah then went on to become a Reiki Master and ceremonialist.
Since that time, she has built an online yoga + life coaching business, as well as a full-service research department that studies the cognitive underpinnings of human decision-making across an array of domains (e.g., healthy living, political activity, consumer donation and purchase behavior, and eco-activism, to name a few). Her research and writing have been featured in several high impact journals (Memory & Cognition, Applied Cognitive Psychology, Intl. Journal for the Psychology of Religion), as well as various popular online publications (Yoga Trade, Elephant Journal, Fox Business News).
When Sarah isn’t analyzing data or moving around on her yoga mat she can be found living the slow life, hanging out amongst the sand and waves, on the small barrier island in North Carolina where she resides with her joyful pup, Moonstar.
