I am a native Floridian, born and raised in Miami. I've now lived in Port Saint Lucie since 1994. I walked into my first yoga class at a local gym in 2009, looking to tone up after losing roughly 30 pounds. Initially, I fell in love with the physical challenge and self-discipline yoga asked of me, but quickly learned yoga was so much more!
I completed my 200hr RYT certification in February of 2014 and am registered with Yoga Alliance. In 2018 I reached my E-RYT Certification level.
I have been practicing yoga for 15 years now and teaching for about 14 years. Among the many lessons I have learned ..... one of the biggest is that yoga is a vehicle for self-discovery and a journey that not only teaches us to connect with our breath, but also to one another on a deeper level. Yoga has also taught me how to meet life’s greatest challenges with ease and grace.
I am considered to be a dynamic teacher who embraces life! My intention is to help my students create strength and focus while maintaining proper alignment. I strive to help build their self-confidence and to aid them in learning to let go of self-judgment as well as "the ego".
Since 2014 I have been working hard and have obtained certifications in Group Exercise, Mat Pilates & Advanced Mat Pilates, Silver Sneakers, PiYo and Thai Yoga Massage, as well as attending workshops in Chair Yoga, Children's Yoga and the Connected Warriors.
In 2018 I spent my summer getting certified in Antigravity - Fundamentals Level 1 & 2, and Aerial Yoga.
In 2023 I completed my 300hr Yoga Teacher training and am now a 500hr E-RYT certified Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance.
I am CPR certified as well.
