Omid Oloumi-Tousi is a Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT200) + (RYT 500) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance .
Omid Oloumi-Tousi has also fulfilled all the requirements for the 100 Hour Meditation Teacher Training in Mindfulness and Loving-Kindness, as prescribed by the faculty and board of the Nalanda Institute for Contemplative Science and obtained her title of Certified Meditation Teacher in December 2019.
Omid has been privileged to benefit from the teachings of master yogis like John Campbell, David Swenson, Eddie Stern, Richard Freeman, Mary Taylor, Stacy Plaske, and Michael Aranoff, as well as great Buddhist teachers like Robert Thurman, Pema Chodron, and Sharon Salzberg, Megan Mook Scott Tusa for the practices of Mindfulness and Meditation. More recently, she has been interested in studying the Philosophy of Yoga. She currently studies Sanskrit with Zoe Slatoff in the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
Omid has been teaching yoga philosophy workshops and Gentle Yoga in New York. She incorporates Pranayama & Meditation in her classes.
Her Yoga + Meditation classes and workshops mostly taught in private settings are particularly well received in the suburban New York area.
