I was fortunate enough to live in Los Angeles for 15 years where there was/is a hotbed of yoga. All 500 hours of my Teacher Training were taken through YogaWorks. I studied with amazing Senior Teachers at YogaWorks as well as elsewhere. Tom Myers, Carmen Fitzgibbon, Paul Cabanis, Joan Hyman, Alex Crow, John Gaydos, Lisa Walford, & Tias Little to name a few.
Although I am not an Iyengar teacher, the two main teachers I studied with are, therefore I am incredibly influenced by alignment. I have worked quite extensively with bodies/people who have injuries/conditions to help enable them to do what they can to become healthy again or to learn to live with the injury/condition. This has become my specialty. This and working with Athletes to help prevent injury in the first place.
I am currently a faculty member at Whitman College teaching the student population as well as working with some of their athletic teams. I also teach locally to the community of Walla Walla, WA.
I always have and always will continue to take workshops/trainings myself so that I can continue to be curious about my body, breath, and mind. This translates to my teaching for others.
