Baxter Bell is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS). Baxter has been teaching since 1999, and offers weekly public and specialized yoga classes in the Oakland, CA area. You can find his teaching schedule at www.baxterbell.com. Baxter also leads weekend workshops, week-long trainings and retreats around the country, and is considered a leading voice in Yoga for Healthy Aging, has co-authored a book with Nina Zolotow of the same name, and was the co-creator and contributing writer for the daily blog by the same name, at www.yogafohealthyaging.blogspot.com. He also sees students individually for yoga privates and applications of yoga for health concerns.
Baxter is also a teacher of teachers, and has been past director of the Piedmont Yoga Deep Yoga Teacher Training Program,a founding faculty member at Namaste Studios in Oakland, CA, as well as faculty member of many Bay Area training programs and programs around the country. He also is on faculty for other specialized Yoga Teacher Trainings around the world, given his unique experiences as a western trained physician, acupuncturist and a yoga instructor.
