Tricia Hughey is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).
In 2001, I was certified with 230 hours to teach Multi-Disciplinary yoga. The same year I received my certification (not through mysore) to teach Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. I continued my studies in 2002 completing a 40 hour teacher training with Shiva Rea and a 50 hour teacher training with Doug Swenson. In 2013 completed Andrey Lappa's Level 1 and 2 Universal Yoga Teacher Training. In 2014, I added Iyengar Yoga into my regular practice which led me Oregon to complete Julie Gudmestad’s weeklong intensive. Most recently, I completed a 14 hour myofascial release course in Austin, Texas. I continue to study and attend workshops on a regular basis. Informally, I study by means of reading, experiential practice with fellow teachers, and life experiences. I believe we can all learn from one another-we are all teachers- and help one another cultivate growth, personal development, understanding, compassion and harmony in our lives. I teach alignment based vinyasa classes, Universal Yoga Mandala practice, yin yoga, massage infused gentle yoga, and sometimes include myofascial release techniques in class using yoga tune up balls. I offer small group and private instruction and love working with athletes and those with special needs. Although a dedicated full time yoga teacher (and now studio owner!!!)
