Marilyn Carey is a Long Beach native with a passion for movement, mindfulness, and community. With over 13 years of dedicated yoga practice, she has a strong foundation in the Ashtanga lineage, having studied with renowned teachers including Kory Sheffer, Aimee Echo, Sarath Jois, and Saraswathi Jois. She completed her RYT 200 certification with School Yoga Institute in Costa Rica, deepening her knowledge of yoga philosophy, breathwork, and meditation.

Beyond yoga, Marilyn has an extensive background in coaching and education. She has coached swim at both the club and high school levels, provided private instruction in stroke technique, and taught high school math and social-emotional learning (SEL). She specializes in private and personalized yoga instruction, tailoring sessions to meet individual goals—whether it’s building strength, improving flexibility, deepening meditation, or developing a sustainable practice.

As a teacher, Marilyn is passionate about sharing yoga as a tool for personal growth, self-awareness, and holistic well-being.
