Eva Basantpreet - Kundalini Yoga & Hatha Yoga with Spiraldynamik® trained essential oil expert
Basantpreet - she who befriends God in an ever fresh way like spring.
This is my name, given by my yoga teacher.
I am dedicated to yoga since 2006. My first yoga school was Kundalini after Yogi Bhajan, where I completed my IKYTA Level 1 training in England and taught in London. There I was active in the diverse yoga communities, got to know different yoga styles, practiced with international teachers such as
Kathrin McCusker,
Richard Freeman,
Amir Jaan,
Verena Primus and traveled to the
Zen Center in San Francisco and to Bali.
Back in Vienna, I trained as a Kundalini Yoga teacher for pregnancy and postnatal/IKYTA Germany at
Amar Das with my teacher Sat Kirn Kaur, which I was able to put into practice straight away as the mother of a wonderful son and expanded with my “Mama does Yoga” program.
As yoga is much more than just a posture, my path led me to
Antje Kuwert, where I completed further training in Kundalini Yoga for people in wheelchairs. This was followed by training with the
Austrian Disabled Sports Association. I am an instructor in deaf sports. Among other things, I have offered courses at the VHS Vienna and was recently a guest in the Austrian Parliament to present a sitting unit in yoga together with her colleague
Roman Zechmeister, who is in wheelchair and successful tennis player and Yogi, on the topic of diversity and inclusion.
I enjoy practicing different schools of yoga such as Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and Hatha as well as restorative Yin Yoga. This various experiences sparked my interest in learning more about the anatomy of the musculoskeletal system. I decided to train with
Eva Hager-Forstenlechner in Spiraldynamik® Basic Movement and Hatha, which was rewarded after a long wait and training in 2023.
Spiraldynamik® complements my practice with a deep understanding of the anatomically correct alignment of the body. I direct my participants how to use the body's natural movement principles to prevent injuries and fine-tune their own practice, tailored to their individual needs.
My joy is to enrich my classes with essential oils. Here, too, with a great deal of knowledge & mindfulness as well as a sense of sustainability, after training as an aroma expert with
Ingrid Kleindienst-John/WIFI Salzburg and
Primavera. I integrate the power of essential oils into my yoga classes to enhance the effect of the asanas/postures and meditations. The pure fragrances are used specifically to support emotional well-being and elevate the yoga practice to a harmonious level.
My holistic approach makes my yoga classes a soothing, enriching experience. With my warm, emphatic and inspiring nature, I accompany and encourages my participants on their individual yoga path.
Everyone shall leaf with a smile and ONE personal input to be lived off the yoga mat.
"A teacher is like a pipe that brings the teaching (water) to you to quench your thirst (transformation). A true teacher will take away your garbage and give you essence and height and love." Yogi Bhajan
