My Yoga Journey

My yoga journey began in 2018, driven by the realization that maintaining one's body and breath is essential, especially as we age. Despite living in an area with limited access to yoga instruction at that time, I did not give up. I learned independently through YouTube videos and CDs from bookstores. From there, I started to wonder how yoga could help the body become strong and flexible through consistent practice.

Discovering Ashtanga Yoga

In 2021, I discovered Ashtanga Yoga through my teacher, Iyan Barlyanta, an authorized instructor from KPJAYI. My commitment to daily practice grew stronger. I continued to delve deeper through various workshops and training.
The answer to my quest became clearer when I attended a workshop with Master Noel in 2023. He convinced me that Ashtanga Yoga was the right path, taking me to a higher level of understanding and practice.

Becoming a Yoga Instructor

In 2024, I completed the 200 RYT Teacher Training program at Yoga Karta Elite School, under the direct guidance of Master Noel, an instructor authorized by KPJAYI. He is a direct student of Guru Sharath Jois, one of the pioneers of Ashtanga Yoga with over 60 years of experience.
This training not only enriched my understanding of yoga but also equipped me with the skills to teach yoga in a safe, effective manner, tailored to the needs of each individual.
Athi Yoga Ternate: Philosophy and Approach

At Athi Yoga Ternate, I teach:
Ashtanga Yoga: A structured approach focusing on strength, flexibility, and breath.
Yoga with Props: Utilizing props to ensure safety and comfort, especially for beginners or those with physical limitations.
For me, yoga is not just about physical health but also mental and emotional well-being. Yoga is a journey towards true happiness and balanced living.

Practitioners who want to deepen their yoga experience.
