Hi, I’m Wendy Esperanza (she/her/ella), an Afro-Dominican and Desi yogini based in New York City. I have a foundation in social work and mental health advocacy, which informs the trauma-informed approach I bring to my yoga practice. My passion lies in making yoga accessible to individuals from historically marginalized communities and vulnerable populations while honoring it’s roots. I specialize in restorative yoga, weaving in elements of the 8-limbed path—such as mindfulness and meditation—to promote balance and healing. I also enjoy supporting beginners in enhancing their asana practice by focusing on alignment, building confidence, and fostering comfort within their bodies to achieve their wellness goals. I’m available to lead donation-based yoga events in the community and offer online yoga classes. Together, let’s create a welcoming space for connection, growth, and restoration!
