In 2000, Alecia sought yoga to relieve back pain and it quickly became an integral part of her life. Driven by curiosity, she explored many types of yoga that ultimately led her to cultivate a strong vinyasa practice. In 2009 Alecia completed a 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Program at the Yoga Center of Columbia. In 2025, she completed a 300-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Jason Crandall. Alecia’s teaching combines her vinyasa experience, deep understanding of functional anatomy, and her ability to convey key alignment points to students. She enjoys sharing creative and fluid flow sequences that connect breath with movement while also encouraging students to cultivate a mindful practice by playfully exploring poses with an emphasis on alignment. Alecia is a Co-founder of Rolling Brook Yoga.
