Practice found me in 2014 as a university public health student. I had decided to try out one of the free gym yoga sessions. I was thrust into a world that seemed unusual and complex. Seven years passed of self practice before I felt prepared for an in-depth study of Yoga Philosophy outside of gym and studio asanas.
In 2022, I started my RYT 200 for Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga with Yoga Renew, a Yoga Alliance Certified Program.
In 2023, I began to work at Blue Moon Yoga Studio and Juice Bar in a Karmic Work Exchange laundering towels initially.
During the summer of 2024, I received my certificate for RYT-200 from Yoga Renew. While I was completing my studies I was lucky to practice teaching by offering over 50 free community yoga sessions. These varied from my place of employment, to outdoors with the public and in more personal sessions to friends.
The UCSF Fresno Yoga Club started "Relax in the Stacks." There I teach office focused yoga over the lunch hour every other Tuesday.
I continue to work at Blue Moon Yoga Studio and Juice Bar in a Karmic Work Exchange. Now as the front desk helper of the Fresno studio on Sunday mornings.
Education is continual, I am currently completing supplementary education for Children's Yoga and as of September 2024 I have begun my trainings for a RYT 500 certification to further my practice.
