Cristina Politano is a yoga instructor based in Morris County, New Jersey. Originally drawn to yoga as a practitioner of Bikram, she spent her early adulthood moving between Paris, Rome, New York, and Los Angeles, where she had the opportunity to study at a variety of different studios, and under a number of different instructors. Most recently, she trained under Christy Linson (RYT200—Aligned Flow) at Prana Yoga in Denville, NJ, where she incorporated a strong foundation in anatomy and alignment into her yoga discipline.
As a yoga instructor, Cristina begins with three main goals: (1) to instruct her students safely in and out of familiar and less familiar poses; (2) to nurture in her students a spirit of curiosity, confidence, and determination to challenge whatever limiting beliefs they may harbor about their bodies and their capacity for change, and; (3) to instill in her students an appreciation for the unique way that yoga allows us to push beyond the mundane ways we move through the world in order to recenter ourselves in our bodies and our minds.
When she isn’t practicing yoga, Cristina is employed as an author, translator, and instructor of foreign language. She lives in Kinnelon, NJ with her husband and their dog and cats.
