My name is Jen, originally from Mexico but living in Aotearoa since 2021.
My yoga journey started back in 2015 when I moved to Australia. I immersed myself in the Jivamukti yoga method to then moved to Ashtanga yoga. I completed my first Jivamukti-inspired yoga teacher training (200RYT) in Sydney in 2019 to then do a mentoring programme for 100 in 2020.
Once moving to New Zealand, I continued my practice at the Auckland Yoga Academy where I after one year of studies, obtained my Ashtanga yoga certification (RYT200) and the Yoga Academy 800-hour certificate (YA800) in 2023.
My classes are inspired by the Ashtanga and Jivamukti Yoga methods, with relaxing music to keep the flow and incorporating meditation and breathing techniques.
Yoga has been a beautiful tool to keep my mind and body in balance, to release stress and ease the mind. I acknowledge my teachers in this journey and would like to share what they have taught me with love, respect and empathy to others.
