Hi friends! I’m Katelyn (or Kate), a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT), trained in Hatha and Yin. I’ve practiced yoga sporadically for most of my life (thank you, YMCA kids’ classes!), but for years, I felt like I wasn’t good enough to be a “true yogi.” I thought I needed to be fitter, more flexible, thinner... to belong. I often left classes feeling discouraged, watching other students make poses look effortless while I struggled to even touch my toes.
It wasn’t until 2020, in the thick of the pandemic, that I discovered the truth: yoga has nothing to do with how you look or how “perfect” your poses are. Instead, it’s a powerful pathway to self-connection. When I found a teacher (Nicole ❤️) who showed me how yoga could be about tuning into myself, everything changed. That’s when I truly caught the yoga bug—and now, I’m so excited to share this life-changing practice with you as a teacher!
What can you expect from my classes?
My passion lies in slowing the heck down. In a fast-paced world that celebrates speed and ambition, my classes are a chance to pause, breathe, and reconnect. My goal is to help each student view my class as a one-on-one session with themselves.
I’ll provide suggestions, but ultimately, you make the decisions. In my classes, you’ll learn to truly listen to your body, trust your intuition, and get comfortable with the discomfort of stillness.
