Yoga instructor by choice, couch potato at heart. Marlen (she/her) discovered yoga in her home country of Mexico. After many years of little to no physical activity, she decided to attend a yoga class and was instantly hooked. She was surprised by how calming, fun, yet challenging Vinyasa Yoga could be, and she has been practicing ever since. Initially treating yoga solely as a form of exercise, it took her a few years to fully embrace it as a philosophy. After completing additional workshops and teacher trainings, she decided to follow her passion and become a full-time yoga instructor.
Marlen now guides her classes with a focus on proper alignment to avoid injuries, and conscious, slow breathing to maintain a calm state of mind. She firmly believes that yoga practice should be stable and challenging, but most importantly, painless.
Marlen Fernandez Pando is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).
