Angela Joyce is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS). Angela Joyce has completed 200HR certification requirements at OmBodies Yoga & Functional Wellness in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.
Angela Joyce has completed Yoga & The Nervous System 20HR certification, Fascia & Myofascial Release 20HR certification, and An In-Depth Study: Spinal Twists 20HR certification requirements at OmBodies Yoga & Functional Wellness. She has also continued her education in Yoga Philosophy, Lifestyle, and Ethics at OmBodies Yoga & Functional Wellness.
Angela Joyce has experience teaching Yoga to adolescents at Midland County Juvenile Care Center in Midland, Michigan. She has experience teaching Yoga to college students at Delta College in Central Michigan. She has experience teaching Yoga to elementary school students in Midland, Michigan.
She spent a year studying the psychological affects that yoga has on human health and development while teaching yoga to individuals of all ability levels, including individuals with physical, sensory and cognitive disabilities, at the Greater Midland Community Center and Creative 360 Non-Profit Organization.
Angela Joyce shared her practice with children and adults in the Windsor-Essex community while gaining experience in functional medicine at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare’s physiotherapy/occupational therapy department (Complex Medical Care). She advocated the social and recreational benefits of yoga for children at a trust-based relational intervention sponsored by the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Society, and taught yin yoga to her personal training clients at GoodLife Fitness in Windsor, Ontario.
Angela Joyce most recently taught yoga in Sydney, Australia. She did this while exploring the Eastern Arts, incorporating elements of Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and Nei Gong into her practice to improve life satisfaction, reduce anxiety, alleviate activity-induced asthma, improve sleep quality, enhance sports performance, increase blood flow and oxygen circulation throughout the body, and strengthen overall health/wellbeing by increasing life energy (qi).
Angela Joyce has successfully completed the requirements to receive a Personal Trainer Certification from National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She has successfully completed the requirements to receive a Nutrition Coach Certification from NASM. She is currently undergoing training to become a NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist.
Her favourite students are her children, Sydney (age 9) and Austin (age 8).
