Asya has always been into gymnastics and calisthenics since she was a child. Growing up, she thought these practices were all about how much physical effort you put into developing your skills and poses. At the age of seven, an unfortunate accident resulted in the total destruction of both of her heels and fractures in her spine, which took her ability to walk for a while. This was followed by a lifelong process of recovery, both physically and mentally, where she went through trauma but also went through her first and biggest 'self-discovery' -- She incorporated many of the yogic philosophies and practices intuitively, as a child, without any practice in yoga, which would be followed by many more repetitive experiences like these later in her life. She discovered the power of intuition and the brain.
As a high school student, she met yoga and practiced on and off for another 6 years before she decided to get certified as an instructor. She got her 200YTT at Online Yoga School at Yoga & Ayurveda Center with Steph Mitchell in 2020 and was lucky enough to start teaching right away at various yoga studios online, and has worked with private clients as well as in corporate settings. After 3 years of experience, she later got her 300YTT at Lotos Yoga Berlin with Federico Mesa Althabe. She also has her own YouTube channel, where she occasionally shares videos both in English and Turkish.
