Anna (she/her) RYT200 first walked into a yoga studio in 2014 after successful surgery on a herniated disc in her lower back. As part of her recovery, she realized she needed to take better care of her body and herself to be able to stay active the rest of her life. She hoped yoga could be part of that process. At first her yoga practice was a form of exercise, but eventually shifted to a way to intimately know herself and the body she inhabits. Anna’s teaching focuses on bringing awareness and mobility to the neglected nooks and crannies of the body while building strength and confidence. Students should expect a prop-heavy practice enriched by breath work, perfect for beginners and experienced yogis alike. Anna is also a Functional Range Conditioning ® Mobility Specialist and carries a certification in Katonah Yoga®. She has a wealth of knowledge in the effective use of props to enhance your yoga practice. Outside of yoga, Anna is an avid marathon runner, clay sculptor, and sourdough baker.
Anna completed her 200-hour RYT at Namaste Yoga Royal Oak, MI in the spring of 2020.
