Hi Lisa here......
I'm all about doing it for the love of it! I have completed 2 200 hour yoga teacher trainings as well as a 300 hour, 60 hours of yin yoga training, 46 hours of Y.O.G.A for youth (kundalini style) training, and I currently am close to completing training in Anjali Academy training for yoga for Trauma, depression and anxiety, as well as Reiki level I,II, and master and Mindfulness coaching. Maybe you are beginning to believe me when I say I am all about the love of this incredibly healing system. I truly believe yoga is for everyone, the Asana, the breathwork, meditation, self study, Bhakti Bliss, all the feels and all the things. Yoga and the practice of it helped to shift the trajectory of my entire journey, and the only thing I love more than the incredible adoration and love I have for myself, is the idea that someone else might discover the same through the ways that I get to teach. I am truly grateful and humbled.
Yoga has been my catalyst for a changed life and I intend to open doors for anyone interested in not only learning about yoga, but making it a staple for life. Yoga has helped me love and enjoy all the layers of who I have been, who I am now and hope for who I am moving toward.
I am a mom of two now adults, my son Melvin III and my daughter Mia, I put on a corporate outfit during the day, but I end my day in yoga pants.
I teach a heart centered, self-loving, trauma sensitive, body positive, light affirming hatha yoga style open to 'yogi's choice' often and always, and I hope if you are in or around the Long Beach-Los Angeles areas please catch a class with me or invite me to yours. There's space for us all!
I teach yoga asana, meditation, and light breathwork every Tuesday (6pm) and Sunday (9am) at 24 hour fitness (be sure to download the app and find me at the Downtown Long Beach location), The Tree Yoga Coop every Tuesday at 8:30, and Every Saturday at 11am with my company Rooted In Wellness Yoga Co. at Houghton Park in Long Beach at 11am.
Remember comparison robs us of joy! There is no place for competition on the yoga mat!
