My name is Rashida VanLeer. I have lost over 100 pounds, become a personal trainer, a Nationally Qualified Fitness Competitor, a yoga instructor, and I have assisted people along their fitness journey since 2012. Fitness to me is so much more than a quick fit, it is a lifestyle. Since the start of my fitness career, education has been important I have added multiple other certifications to my eclectic educational repertoire, including a B.A. from Cleveland State University, Personal Training, Yoga, Ganja Yoga PreNatal Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga and Marijuana Consultant. I try to teach to the room not from my ego, trying to remember that I am still a student.
My vision is to create a space that offers potential clients and new yoga teachers a place that they could not only reach their fitness goals but to learn how to safely and consistently practice for the result they desire. I rely on my nursing background to understand muscle function in order to focus on form and efficacy of the muscle. For me the limits that a person has exist only in their mind. I apply these same teachings in my yoga classes.
