Ferdz is a graphic designer, creative conceptualist, and lifestyle photographer who began his yoga journey in 2015, initially seeking the physical and weight loss benefits. Over time, his practice evolved, incorporating a balance of strength, playfulness, and introspection through Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Yin Yoga.
He began teaching in 2018 after completing a 200-hour Vinyasa and Yin Yoga certification at Community Fitness, guided by teachers from Yoga District, Washington D.C. Ferdz has since continued his education, delving into "Pranayamas of Classical Yoga" with the Mohans at Svastha Yoga, and studying under Jason Crandell for "Preventing and Managing Common Yoga Injuries," "The Art of Teaching Beginners," and "The Art of Yoga Sequencing."
In his classes, Ferdz combines intuitive guidance with invigorating sequences, encouraging students to explore asanas with curiosity and an open mind. He emphasizes breath awareness and adapting the practice to each student's unique needs, going beyond physical postures to explore the deeper connections between breath, body, and mind. Ferdz hopes to guide students toward those ‘Ah-ha’ moments, just as he continues to discover them in his own practice.
