Emily Devers began her yoga journey in 2009 to “stretch” and complement her marathon training. Originally drawn to the physical asana practice, she developed an awareness to all other aspects and limbs of yoga. She enjoyed the benefits of the mind/body connection and felt mindfulness trickle into daily life as a mother and health care professional. In 2019, Emily graduated from her 200-hour yoga teacher training through True Love Yoga (formerly Karma Tribe Yoga) in Kansas City, MO. After 20+ years of working at University of Kansas Health Systems in Nuclear Cardiology, Emily switched gears and began her journey as a yoga teacher. In 2021, Emily completed her 500-hour advanced yoga teacher training with Jason Crandell of San Francisco. Although she enjoys all styles and yoga methods, vinyasa flow is her favorite. Emily holds certifications in Yoga for Golf, Restorative Yoga, Meditation, Yoga for Beginners and Yoga for Cancer.
Emily enjoys traveling the world, from hiking adventures to medical missions. She prefers to be outside if possible. Her husband, Dan and two adult daughters, Georgia and Emma, bring so much joy to her life.
Emily's influences include Jason Crandell, Sam Megraw, Lisa Ash Drackert, Lauren Leduc, Marti Lee and Starr Evans.
