I teach yoga to support people in their strengthening journey. I believe that yoga, through asana, breathwork and meditation, strengthens the body and opens the mind. A consistent yoga practice is an important step to put every individual in charge of his/her own potential, using the body’s own resources. Together with the student, I strive to tailor an effective yoga practice that addresses the student’s present concerns with the objective of achieving optimal health. I am a runner and I started practicing yoga during a marathon training in 2001. I was feeling a mild lower back pain and an acupuncturist suggested a yoga class. It’s been a love affair since then.
I have been teaching yoga for 12 years. I did my first 200hr teacher training in 2007 at Moksha Yoga in Chicago, Illinois. During this training with Daren Friesen, I learned from many teachers, Kino McGregor, Lino Miele, Tyas Little, Gary Kraftsow among others. In 2010, I completed the Forrest Yoga Foundational teacher training with Ana Forrest. In this training, I learned how to assist students with specific injuries and support them in their journey. In 2016, I completed the 300hr Teacher Training with Amy Beth Treciokas at Yoga Now, Chicago. During this training I went into a deeper understanding of Ashtanga yoga and the teachings of Pattabhi Jois and Krishnamacharya. In 2018, I completed the Forrest Yoga Advanced Teacher training with Ana Forrest and Jose Calarco. In this training, I learned how to recognize, and assess the student’s needs and craft an appropriate yoga practice. I keep studying with many teachers and I assist Ana Forrest and Jose Calarco in workshops around the world.
