I practiced yoga for over 30 years. Since my first class in Hatha Yoga, I have taken numerous yoga, Pilates, and fitness classes. In 2012, I started to commit more time to my yoga and am extremely thankful for many excellent teachers along this journey.
In January of 2019 I completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training through Swastha Yoga in Costa Rica. Swastha Yoga is best explained as a dynamic flow combining therapeutic elements from a variety of styles to provide a sustainable and challenging practice.
I teach a variety of styles including: hatha, yin, flow, power and gentle yoga.
In 2020 I completed a 200 hour teacher training program in Conscious Alignment, in which I learned how to assist students and support their personal growth, while continuing my own journey to health and wellness both on and off the mat.
In 2022 I completed a 100 hour advanced yoga training and earned a certificate as a therapeutic Ayurveda yoga specialist. In this program, I began to look at every aspect of my life as either building health and vitality or taking away health and vitality.
Additionally, I have taken over 100 hours of continuing education classes through Yoga Alliance on topics ranging from yoga philosophy to specific workshops on different approaches to yoga and anatomy including chair based yoga and pranayama work.
I continue to develop my own practice and enjoy sharing what has worked for me with others.
