Kristen Butera, ERYT500, RPYT, RCYT, YACEP, C-IAYT is the co-director of the YogaLife Institute in Wayne, Pennsylvania where she works privately with clients, teaches workshops and co-directs a variety high-level yoga teacher training programs with her husband, Bob Butera, PhD. She is the author of the book, Yoga: A Personalized Approach for Your Active Lifestyle (Human Kinetics, 2017) and the editor of Yoga Living Magazine.
After studying Yoga for fifteen years and accumulating more than 3500 hours of Yoga Philosophy, Somatic Movement and Anatomy training, Kristen approaches the subjects of yoga, yoga teaching and intelligent movement practices with a passionate sense of curiosity that aims to keeps the wisdom of the ancients in context with modern anatomical understandings and scientific innovations. Her classes and trainings focus on helping people uncover their habits and make meaningful mind/body/spirit connections via exploring intelligent movement practices.
