She is an adventurer and backpacker at heart. She started backpacking at the age of 14 with her dad, and her first trip was The Grand Canyon from rim to rim, where she turned 15 at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. While this was the hardest physical and mental challenge she had faced up to that point in her life, it was also one of the most meaningful and impactful. From there she fell in love with travel and adventure, which ultimately led to where she is now. She can vividly remember standing at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon with her dad, and him saying "Kelsey, you hiked the Grand Canyon from rim to rim. You can do anything you set your mind to."
So, she decided at the age of 23 to start her own business, at 24 to quit her salaried job and to lean into the unknown.
At this point she has over 600+ hours of training, She is in the middle of her 1000 hour. She has over 2700+ teaching hours. She believes in being a forever student of this life and practice.
Kelsey is a breast cancer survivor, who was diagnosed at the age of 27 and underwent various types of treatment.
She lives by the belief that vulnerability is how we feel fully alive, and that it's in our power to decide what our experience in this life is.
