Karla Herbst is a registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS). She has taught yoga since 2010 for adults of all ages. Karla is also a certified restorative yoga instructor, along with traditional yoga instruction. Karla incorporates props such as blankets, blocks, straps and chairs to help participants feel safe and successful. Teaching has always been a passion in her life and Karla specializes in helping people begin their yoga and wellness journey. How would one describe Karla’s teaching? Uplifting, accepting, authentic, caring, happy, safe, supportive, challenging in alignment with skill level, purposeful, understanding, educational, fun and “down-to-earth”. Karla meets each person "where they are at" and creates an individualized program to support their needs and goals. Karla has also earned her “Implement Yoga 4 the Classroom” training certificate for children. She is also a certified health and wellness coach and group fitness instructor with ACE/American Council on Exercise. She has taught classes for over 28 years in various settings such as community college wellness/fitness departments, gyms and community/school locations. Karla is certified as a Functional Aging Specialist (FAI), a Level 1 & 2 Reiki practitioner, personal trainer with NCSF (National Council on Strength and Fitness) and has aqua instructor certification as well. Karla holds a Bachelor’s and Masters degree in Education and Administration.
