Kenya’s teaching style is gentle, restorative and therapeutic. She is warm, friendly and demonstrates an exuberance for life that is infectious. Her classes embrace the interconnectedness of body, mind and spirit in an uplifting and safe environment. She was drawn to teach yoga after experiencing a deep sense of connection, balance, and self-awareness she experienced during her breast cancer journey and has a passion to share with others the life-affirming benefits of this ancient practice for modern times.
Her classes offer a welcoming space to soften, be present and explore. She crafts asana, pranayama and meditation sequences that respects students’ needs. The use of props is encouraged, and support and modifications are offered to those with limited mobility. Her foremost desire is to share the practice of yoga in a way that is accessible to all: to meet people where they are, as they are.
