"My first encounter with yoga was in the 70s, watching Lilias Folan on PBS. I would encourage my mom to join me in front of the television set and shared what I learned with other children at school during recess. A seed was planted then that blossomed into a formal practice that has sustained me into adulthood.

I lived in Los Angeles for 17 years before moving to Santa Cruz, and had the great pleasure of taking classes with an array of really talented teachers. Making the decision to become a teacher myself is the fulfillment of an impulse that began on a playground many years ago. I have a strong interest in the impact that yoga has on emotional health."

Juko has a Ph.D. in Psychology and a strong interest in using yoga & mindfulness to help people find contentment and ease. She studied to become a yoga teacher with Mark Stephens. She owns and operates Ease Mountain Yoga in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. She has had a personal yoga  practice for over 25 years.
