Melaina Gasbarrino is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with a Registered Yoga School (RYS).

Melaina believes if we ebb and flow WITH the Earth, our relationship to the self will be greater. Her teachings are rooted in MANA, life energy in Hawaiian, as she believes that by nurturing the relationship with the self and the breath, we'll enliven the MANA within.

In August 2017, she obtained her RYT-200 certification in Costa Rica with The Alchemy of Yoga Kula. Through a blend of yin, restorative and slow-flow Vinyasa, she's developed classes that move WITH nature. By focusing on your breath, she encourages students to go deeper into each movement to truly understand the relationship of that movement to the soul. She teaches classes most notably outdoors in her hometown of Niagara-on-the-Lake. 

Melaina has dedicated her life to conserving our land by hosting over 15 beach clean-ups and giving back to Surf The Great's Freshwater Fund. She is the Programs and Communications Manager for Pink Pearl Foundation, a charitable organization that supports young women facing cancer and effectively grows small companies through her work as a designer. She self-published her first children’s environmental book, “Lola’s Beach Clean-Up”, and is in the creative process of developing a series of “Lola” books, to Help our Earth, one kids book at a time.

Off the mat, she lives mindfully, swims in the sea, and wanders through the wilderness often. On any given day you can find her traveling the world to live WITH the Earth.
