Amy Walter is a Registered Yoga Teacher, RYT500 and E-RYT200, with Yoga Alliance, which acknowledges the completion of a yoga teacher training with an approved and active Registered Yoga School (RYS).  She is a certified Muscle Activation Techniques Specialist  (2003),  certified Personal Trainer (ACE 1994) and certified Yoga Personal Trainer (2014).  She teaches yoga workshops and anatomy intensives for several Registered Yoga Schools.

Amy is a student first.  She is committed to ongoing education in the many aspects of yoga.  She finds her students to be the strongest of her teachers. She studies the muscular system under Greg Roskopf (since 2003).  She has studied the human form via dissection with Gil Hedley (2015).  She earned a 500 hour yoga teacher training certificate with Deborah Williamson and Wild Abundant Life (2014).  Amy completed Level 1 and Level 2 Teacher Training Bootcamp with Baron Baptiste in June 2010 and September 2011, respectively. Her first Teacher Trainings were completed at Dancing Mind in Falls Church, VA:  These included Intensive Teacher Training in February 2010, Teacher Assistant Program in May 2010, and  200HR RYT Teacher Training program in March of 2011.  She has taken additional yoga trainings from Tiffany Cruckshank, Ray Long, Leslie Kaminoff, Philip Urso, Stacy Dockins.

"It is my hope that in teaching, I will be able to give to others that which has been shared with me through my teachers. That is how to have fun and live honestly and fully by committing to a yoga practice physically, mentally, and spiritually."
