Jason Walters is a multifaceted individual with a diverse range of talents, but his true passion lies in being a dedicated yoga teacher. Holding a 500-hour certification with Yoga Alliance, Jason has meticulously cultivated his expertise through extensive study and practice worldwide. His journey has taken him to India and Southeast Asia, where he had the privilege of practicing with esteemed teachers, enriching his understanding of the ancient art of yoga.

Jason's journey into the world of movement began as a response to severe pain caused by an autoimmune disease known as ankylosing spondylitis. Confronted with severe pain, he embarked on an experimental path, combining dietary changes with yoga. Through this transformative process, Jason not only alleviated his symptoms but also discovered profound solace, successfully steering away from traditional medicine. Yoga, for him, became the cornerstone of a wellness routine that not only provided physical relief but also served as a refuge from the unhealthy habits prevalent in the modern world.

With a background in the music business spanning two decades, including roles in road crew work and managing a recording studio for the band 311 for over 18 years, Jason's journey has been marked by diverse experiences and a deep appreciation for the power of healing through yoga.

Jason's commitment to holistic healing led him to his first yoga class in 2005, laying the foundation for a consistent yoga practice. In 2017, he completed his 200-hour teacher training at the Yoga NoHo Center, swiftly embracing the role of a yoga instructor. Expanding upon this foundation, he pursued a 300-hour certification at Yoga NoHo in 2022, further refining his skills. Additionally, he participated in a month-long Ashtanga yoga intensive in Rishikesh, North India, and has participated in a number of workshops and trainings over the years, a testament to his continuous quest for knowledge and growth.

Beyond personal development, Jason actively contributes as part of the 200hr teacher training team at Yoga NoHo and teaches both public and private classes. His dedication extends beyond the studio, evident in his outreach efforts, where he imparted the transformative benefits of yoga to elderly individuals at Gaimes Fitness in Lake Balboa, CA.

Jason's teaching style reflects a profound commitment to physical well-being, intertwined with a deep understanding of the transformative power of movement and mindfulness. His journey is not just about overcoming back pain; it's an inspiring narrative inviting others to discover the enriching potential of yoga. Join him on the mat for a holistic and transformative experience. In his spare time, Jason indulges in calisthenics, practices Muay Thai, explores new destinations through travel, and is an avid language learner.
