Sam Megraw believes every yoga class should be a living meditation and every day should include the practice of “being yoga” rather than simply “doing yoga.” With roots in Ashtanga, Sam developed a passion for safely guiding her students, offering philosophy and dharma with the physical poses to help students achieve a well rounded practice both physically and mentally.  With a consistent practice since 2011, Sam offers strategic and fun sequencing with well-tailored playlists.

Sam’s love story with yoga is restoring both mentally and physically. Sam’s dedication to the daily yoga practice was her saving grace through injury, shoulder surgery, depression, pregnancy, and entering motherhood.

When she’s off the yoga mat, Sam is chasing her nieces and nephews, adventuring, raising Monarch butterflies and gardening with her husband Rob. Baby Megraw joined their family in October 2018 and both Sam and Rob credit yoga for guiding them to be present and compassionate parents.

Sam graduated with her 200-hour certification in Vinyasa Yoga in February of 2017 from Stephanie Snyder at Love Story Yoga in San Francisco, California.  

She is indebted to her first beloved teacher Marti Lee Bowen who taught her the heart of the practice. Sam is inspired and influenced by highly skilled teachers who value their education and have honed their craft in an authentic way, including Stephanie Snyder, Jason Crandall, Lauren Leduc and Lisa Ash Drackert.
