Yoga found Jessica after she began suffering from lower back pain. A short 30-minute daily home practice eliminated the pains in just a few weeks. Not only was the pain gone but she felt better than before and started seeking out yoga classes at the gym. When the opportunity to become a certified teacher presented itself, she pursued her passion in the hopes of making yoga accessible to all in her community. She is 200hr trained from Studio Bamboo Institute of Yoga with continuing education in Yoga4Cancer by Tari Prinster as well as Prenatal Yoga Certified.
I believe yoga is for every body. I view the traditional poses as a template and I encourage my students to adjust their pose until they find the ideal balance between alignment and function. My classes emphasize breath work throughout with a high focus on muscular and skeletal strength and stability. At the root of my teaching is the belief that each practitioner knows their body best and I strive to help my students build that knowledge and belief in themselves.
